We are now getting ready to start our dream build of our new house. When we moved home in March 2005 we said we would look for some land to build our dream home. It took us 2 years to find it. We were on Holiday in Punta Carna in the Dominican Republic and it was such a crap place to go on holiday we could not wait to get home. While we were their i decided that when i got home i would start looking myself as Ruth was the one at the time who was looking for the land herself with out any help from me.
We got home from our holiday and i went into the Internet and searched for the house or land. I am not a very patient person when it comes to searching but i soldiered on. I came across this place in Bray just out side Maidenhead that looked like it fit the bill. Large enough and it came with a house already on it that we thought we could just extend and do it that way. We went to see it and we both looked at each other and felt this was the place.
We bought the house and payed even more solicitor fees and tax to Tony Blair, but we finally got what we wanted. We had an architect come out to make the drawings of the house as we needed that for the extension. Once that was all done we received bids from the builders and they were so high i said to Ruth we might as well just knock the damn house down and start from scratch. So we did.
