The wait is finally over, the building of our new house can now start. All the work with the local agencies was now over, they got their drop of blood from us. We found our builder who is from Winchester and seems to be a great person that Ruth and I look forward to working with over the next 5 to 6 months . We got the Caravans on site that we will be living in over the next 5 to 6 months (god that means we are going to be pikies,, God help us)

We got this local company called Top Demolition from Woodley. They started to knock the house down and we were looking forward to seeing it come down. I had my Phone with me and took some photos of it and also i bit of a video. It was cool see it come down. and when we saw it half down we knew we made the right decision to knock it down as the way it was built would of opened up a can of Worms that could of caused us some serious problems. This all went very well until the demo company we used knocked down the neighbours brick wall and a tree when the big skip truck came down. It also knocked down another neighbours boiler vent on the out side of their house.

We had calls from the neighbour and thought here we go we have not even moved in yet and we are annoying the neighbour he he.

We are now getting ready to start our dream build of our new house. When we moved home in March 2005 we said we would look for some land to build our dream home. It took us 2 years to find it. We were on Holiday in Punta Carna in the Dominican Republic and it was such a crap place to go on holiday we could not wait to get home. While we were their i decided that when i got home i would start looking myself as Ruth was the one at the time who was looking for the land herself with out any help from me.

We got home from our holiday and i went into the Internet and searched for the house or land. I am not a very patient person when it comes to searching but i soldiered on. I came across this place in Bray just out side Maidenhead that looked like it fit the bill. Large enough and it came with a house already on it that we thought we could just extend and do it that way. We went to see it and we both looked at each other and felt this was the place.
